Open Letter to Pickup Makers

Good Morning,

My name is Don Baker.   I created the web site TulsaSoundGuitars.com and the sub-site HumbuckingPairs.com.  Also the web sites aquarien.com, android-originals.com and theandroidsaxe.com.  The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office recently issued Patent 9,401,134 to me, described at:

https://patents.google.com/patent/US20160027422A1/en

I have filed two more Provisional Patent Applications (PPA) on pickup switching systems.  My last PPA included a switching system that acts like a car’s automatic transmission, shifting from bright to warm without the musician having to know which pickup combinations are involved.  (Do you know exactly how your transmission shifts gears?)  It could work for pianos, too.  I’ve also been doing some work with 2D magnetic field and electronic circuit modeling software (Maxwell and Tina T.I.), to develop new kinds of pickups.  You can find my degrees, three engineering degrees and a Ph.D., at www.aquarien.com/vita.html, an old research, tutorial and vanity site.

I’m making inquiries of a number of companies, looking for money to develop and file patents, in the U.S., Europe and Asia, as well as profit-sharing.  Do you have the interest, and legal and financial abilities to do so?  Usually, established companies claim to be too busy with their own projects, or that they need a large order to proceed.  You only have to do that once.

A good start would be to tell me that you are making or bringing out humbuckers and pickups with equal turns on the cores to plus or minus 5 turns, using wire of the same size and insulation.  However, any company that tries to appropriate one of my patents will be cut off cold and sued by some willing psycho lawyer.  But if you go with me, pickups and switching systems will change forever.  For example, most dual-humbucker guitars come with a 3-way switch.  I’ve found 20 possible combinations, covered by a PPA, that to the best of my knowledge no one else uses.

Sincerely,
Don Baker dba android originals LC
