Knobs 257 & 258
Knobs 257 & 258 are made from a small vertical grain 1.5 x ¾ inch walnut board, with some white wood showing, possibly heartwood. They have a SG base coat, metallic acrylic paint in the grooves, SG overcoats, and a neutral shoe polish finish. For some reason, this tube of Permatex Super Glue had a tendency to produce persistent white spots, which can be seen below the gold ring on knob 258. As with all vertical grain wood knobs, iridescence can be seen only from the sides.
