Anyone who wishes to sign in and reply here is welcome. I asked Jim Z. about it. He said no, that his band always puts everything to all the speakers, so that everyone on both sides can hear. But the other possibility is different guitar effects on high and low strings, even you if go mono, like low buzz and high chorus. To be fair, he was too busy managing the store and dealing with customers to get into that, and I didn’t think to ask him.
